Confidence and Self-Esteem

Self-Esteem is a measure of how you think and feel about yourself in relation to other people.

When you compare yourself to others and see them as “better” than you, you will be most likely lack confidence, feel anxious and generally think negatively. Therapeutic hypnosis is a wonderful technique used to build up feelings of self-confidence, calm and relaxation, which reduces stress, self-doubt and negative self-talk. It can help you to adjust your mindset, get more optimistic ways of thinking and develop attitudes that will help you to see yourself and others differently, more positively, and without the judgement that is preventing you from getting the most out of life.

Emotional problems develop not just from what people think but from how they use their imagination.

People imagine all kinds of negative things about themselves. Hypnotherapy uses the imagination constructively to embed self-confidence and encourage a healthy sense of who you are and what you can be. Research shows that socially anxious people, for example, focus less on other people and more on their own feelings. So a positive approach is to encourage outward focus during social situations. This increases confidence as a consequence of focusing in the same way that naturally self-confident people do.

Hypnotherapy can assist you to overcome your personal insecurities and negative self-perceptions by helping you to access positive resources within.
