Anxiety and trauma both respond exceptionally well to hypnotic techniques. We all experience anxiety to some degree. For some people it gets out of hand and takes over. If this resonates with you… you are not alone.
If your anxiety is leading to obsessive behaviour, negative self-talk, inability to connect with other people, low self-esteem, or generally feeling stuck in your life - I am here to help.
You do not have to live with worrying about the future. You do not have to put up with experiencing flash-backs of traumatic events from your past.
There are simple techniques that you can learn to do very quickly – and these techniques combined with hypnotherapy to calm the anxiety response will give you incredible relief.
The Rewind Technique
Additionally, I use what is know as The Rewind Technique: an incredibly effective treatment which does not need you to go over the traumatic incident(s) again. Many people with trauma or phobias have been treated using approaches which drag them back through the experience again; a highly unpleasant thing for them to have to do.
This does not happen with The Rewind and I do not, in fact, even need to know the details of what happened to you.
Why is Hypnotherapy effective in treating Anxiety, Phobias, Trauma and PTSD?
The reason hypnotherapy is so successful in treating fears, phobias and trauma is that with these conditions, the mind goes into overdrive, in a negative way. In other words, the person is hypnotising themselves without realising it, by focusing deeply on the things they are fearful of. Hypnotherapy is using the state of hypnosis, which is a state of abstraction and narrowed focus of attention, and directing the mind to go into overdrive, in a positive way.
When we experience a traumatic event we naturally focus very deeply, becoming highly suggestible, and unconsciously learn to be terrified of any post-hypnotic trigger in the future that reminds us of the original incident. So, because trauma is an hypnotic condition, it is best treated with hypnosis.
I use a combination of techniques to address these issues, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, Acupressure (Tapping), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Resource Therapy to deal with anxiety, stress, PTSD, and other forms of trauma. The same techniques can be very useful in lifting a person our of depression and living life with a new perspective.
