Hypnotherapy accesses the unconscious mind to release resistance from negative beliefs, so you can give yourself permission to allow your desire for change to become your reality.
Hypnosis is a powerful technique that will assist you to change the unconscious programming of your mind that is creating your automatic reactions and behaviours in the life you currently live. We will examine the patterns and associations that your mind has formed, and how you experience them in your everyday life. You know them as the thoughts you have, the feelings in your body, your emotions, your self-talk, and how you behave, or react, to people and situations. We all seek to play out our familiar patterns throughout our life in an attempt to release negative blocks and improve our relationships and experience of life.
It doesn’t matter how much you consciously want something, if there are unconscious blocks or patterns, they will need to be changed if you are to have different results. For example, you might consciously really want to stop smoking or to lose weight, but no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to stay on track.
To change unconscious patterns we need to access the subconscious part of the mind, and we do this though hypnosis.
Hypnosis helps significantly with:
• Addictions & Habits
• Become a Non-Smoker
• Anxiety & Trauma
• Confidence & Self-Esteem
• Fears & Phobias
• Weight Management
• Other Treatments
Addictions & Habits
Addictions and habits are formed in the part of the mind that is subconscious. Hypnotherapy is very successful in treating issues such as smoking, alcoholism, gambling, drug use, nail biting, because the programming for these behaviours can only be changed by accessing the unconscious mind. No amount of willpower can ensure success without future setbacks, but hypnosis bypasses the need for willpower to drive the change you desire.
Become a Non-Smoker
Become a true non-smoker – not just a smoker who is courageously resisting cigarettes. How? Everyone knows someone who has quit smoking but still says they’d like one with a drink, or after a meal. And what a terrible place that is to be. Having to deny yourself something you want all the time. That’s why I use an approach that helps you become a true non-smoker, not just someone who is resisting smoking. The ‘stopped smoker’ courageously resists having a cigarette, while the non-smoker couldn’t think of anything worse than smoking. That’s if they give it a thought at all.
Anxiety & Trauma Confidence & Self-Esteem
Self-Esteem is a measure of how you think and feel about yourself in relation to other people. When you compare yourself to others and see them as “better” than you, you will be most likely lack confidence, feel anxious and generally think negatively. Therapeutic hypnosis is a wonderful technique used to build up feelings of self-confidence, calm and relaxation, which reduces stress, self-doubt and negative self-talk.
Fears & Phobias
One of the most common uses of hypnosis is to treat fears and phobias. Whether it’s a fear of spiders, heights, crowds, flying, thunderstorms or anything else at all… Hypnotherapy can help you to overcome your fears. Even when we rationally kinks that there is nothing to fear, we can be unable to overcome our fears and phobic responses to situations. These occurrences are more widespread than you might know. The great news is that there is relief available through hypnotherapy that will change your experience of life.
The reason hypnotherapy is so successful in treating fears, phobias and trauma is that with these conditions, the mind goes into overdrive, in a negative way. In other words, the person is hypnotising themselves without realising it, by focusing deeply on the thing they are fearful of. Hypnotherapy is using the state of hypnosis, which is a state of abstraction and narrowed focus of attention, and directing the mind to go into overdrive, in a positive way.
When we experience a traumatic event we naturally focus very deeply, becoming highly suggestible, and then we unconsciously learn to be terrified of any post-hypnotic trigger in the future that reminds us, even vaguely, of the original incident.
I use The Rewind Technique, which is a tried and tested approach to treating PTSD and phobias. For many years, severe anxiety-based conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder or phobias were considered treatable only through long, painful exposure therapy, and in some cases, not at all.
Now, thankfully, we have access to a comfortable, effective treatment that can greatly reduce, and even remove, traumatic or phobic symptoms quickly, without you having to re-live the trauma. The Rewind does not need you to experience your fear or phobia or traumatic incident(s) again. Many people with trauma, fears or phobias have been treated using approaches which drag them back through the experience again; a highly unpleasant thing to have to do.
This does not happen with the Rewind, and I do not, in fact, even need to know the details of what happened to you.
Weight management is challenging, even for the most committed person. The truth is that diets don’t work. You know this is true because every diet you have tried has worked for a while but eventually you put all the weight back on, plus more. My approach is different. This is not an instant fix – it is a lifestyle and mindset change. The change occurs through developing a new relationship with food, your body and yourself.
I offer a complete program called the Capital Weight Reduction Program. This program is suitable if you have 10+ kg you would like to release.
I also provide single or package sessions based on your specific needs, for example, you might have your weight under control but you want to stop craving sugar or carbs, or, you might need help with overcoming resistance to exercise. You are unique! So, discuss your unique situation with me to determine the best path for you.
Hypnosis can help you to feel different quickly. It is a most natural process and when used deliberately in a therapeutic way, it can help to ease problems as it reshapes the way you think, feel and then behave.
